SOLD OUT — Two Generations of Peterkins
The Peterkins have and always will be game-changers.
Dr Mike Peterkin forged a new path in the Australian wine landscape when he established the family’s Pierro vineyard in 1980, favouring the unconventional methods of viticulturist, Dr Richard Smart. Today these techniques have become standard practice, and Pierro produces one of the world’s most coveted chardonnays.
His beloved son, Nic Peterkin, drifted between study, travel, the vineyard and winery for six years, before launching his own minimal intervention wine label, L.A.S Vino in 2013. He is now leading a new generation of creative winemakers, combining luck, art and science, to produce evocative wines that push the boundaries.
Grab a glass of something delicious and join renowned journalist, Cassandra Charlick in conversation with these glorious visionaries, exploring the stories, challenges and thoughts gained from two generations of experience.
What drives their winemaking philosophies…? Do they share common or opposing visions for the growth of the Margaret River wine region…?
