About the business

At COMO The Treasury, there are 48 elegant guest rooms and suites featuring original high ceilings, cornicing, and balconies. Facilities include two restaurants, a bar, lounge and library, which together provide a social hub for the city. Holistic therapies are available at COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, as well as a gym and 20m indoor pool.

About the role

Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the guest suites, public areas and back of house in line with the established standards.

You will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department in order to ensure the guest has a clean and comfortable environment to stay in, and that standards and quality are not compromised.

Duties

You main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the housekeeping department’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee the daily schedule of tasks and supervise the performance of staff in the housekeeping department
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of work done by each staff member providing guidance where necessary.
  • Ensure that all suite information in the PMS and on the office whiteboard is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Lead the Supervisors in the daily completion of the housekeeping suite check list.
    Work closely with Front Office to maximize the use of suites and to maintain proper control.

Skills and experience

You will already possess a minimum of 2 year experience working in a similar leadership role within a housekeeping department, ideally in a 5 star luxury property.

The role will require an exceptional level of communication, excellent written and spoken English, organisation and attention to detail qualities, along with problem solving abilities and able to handle tasks and work to tight deadlines.
