Assistant People and Culture Manager
State Buildings is seeking an Assistant People and Culture Manager to join our team. The People and Culture Team are responsible for all venues within the buildings, including our Luxury, award winning hotel, COMO The Treasury, Mello House (on-site Private Members Club) and our Restaurants: Post, Shop 1875 Wildflower, Long Chim, Petition, Wine Merchant and Beer Corner. We also look after the teams at an off-site Laundry and Perth’s most unique Private Members Club, Lawson Flats, located within walking distance to the State Buildings. The role is busy and varied, main responsibilities include:
First point of contact for employee enquires relating to pay and conditions
Manage and deliver our internal training plan
Assisting with recruitment and onboarding
Investigating complaints and managing workers compensation claims
Developing and implementing policies and procedures
Reporting and analysis for business improvement
Assisting the Director of People and Culture as required
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management, at least five years experience in a direct Human resources/People and Culture role, previous experience in the hospitality industry (preferred) and the desire to learn and grow within the industry. There are strong growth opportunities for this role and we are seeking someone who is flexible, able to prioritise multiple tasks, well-presented and confident in delivering training and presenting to small – medium groups.
The role is fulltime – 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in the heart of Perth CBD, close to public transport.
