What is the Neuro-Spa?
Perfectly scheduled to help prepare for the mental load of getting ready for Christmas and beyond, the Neuro Spa workshop will provide you with the skills to nurture a healthy, vital brain that sleeps well. Learning how to mentally “floss” is all about learning brain-based techniques and physical practices to maximize your brain potential.
A combination of brain science, interactive experiences, delicious food, and engaging and expert facilitators, the Neuro-Spa workshop offers the opportunity to gently discover more about yourself and how you can manage your stress and emotions, leading to better sleep and feeling calmer and more relaxed.
Who Designed the Neuro-Spa?
Designed and led by Dr Stan Rodski, Cognitive Neuroscientist, and his colleague Tara Connell, Neuroplastician, Personal Development Coach, Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher, this one-day mini-retreat is crafted especially for women and limited to a small group of 16 to maximize the experience for everyone.
How Does the Neuro-Spa Work?
The organic alchemy of the Neuro-Spa ‘treatment’ introduces the idea that to appreciate why we sleep as we do, we need to understand the dynamic interplay between our actions, our thoughts, and our biology, and how we can activate different areas of our brain to feed it with what it needs to thrive and flourish.
During this one-day experience, you will explore ways you can be your own healer, how to take care of your body’s chemical factories, and how to be fully responsible for your mental and physical health while learning to achieve better sleep.
You will have the opportunity to engage in various activities and be invited to complete tasks that will provide you with a refreshing ‘spritz’ of your own feel-good chemicals.
Some of the customized hands-on treatments designed to release the chemical ‘spritzers’ to enhance physical and mental health, well-being and sleep will include Neuro-Yoga, Neural Acoustics and Brain Synchronization.
We will explore the role of the brain in our experience of emotion, its role in mental wellness through better sleep, and the effect of negative emotion on sleep.
We will also take a close look at one of our most precious brain areas – the prefrontal cortex – and its role in helping us navigate the complexities of life and sleep.
