Meet Anneke Brown
World traveller returns to Perth at the helm of COMO The Treasury
Originally from Perth, COMO The Treasury General Manager Anneke Brown spent her career in hospitality travelling the world.
That her future would be in hotels was evident from her youth – a sketch of a beachside resort by Anneke aged 12 was a clear indication of this to her parents. During her university years, Anneke worked in various hospitality roles in Perth, starting as a waitress at the Subiaco Hotel.
The turning point came during an overseas move with luxury group Amanresorts International, which catapulted Anneke into the world of global hotel projects. With international experience under her belt, Anneke returned to Australia to a boutique hotel in Margaret River before turning her sights to managing Australian luxury icon Longitude 131 at Uluru.
“Returning to Australia was a dream come true,” says Anneke.
The lure of the refurbishment of the Old Treasury Building brought Anneke home to Perth. In October 2015, she was proud to unveil COMO The Treasury – a 48- room boutique hotel steeped in heritage and luxury.
