KAMBARANG SEASON
In a trumpeted shout to the welcoming warmth, blazing colour abounds with strident yellow blossoms signalling the strength of the sun. Kambarang, the Noongar season of birth and renewal, is in full flourish.
Banksias, Acacias, Kangaroo Paws and the hardiest of burnt Balgas, will embrace the bloom; snakes bask in an energising sun, hunting in readiness for a full-bellied winter’s hibernation. Koolbardis (magpies) swoop in protective fanfare, as nests fill and the chorus of new life and hunger chimes above.
This change is a promise, and Kambarang is with us once again.
