The Best Local Talent
World-class Perth musicians – and everyone involved – are giving their time freely to support the provision of urgent medical needs, including ambulances and life-saving equipment, for Ukraine via our well-established charity partners at the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
This benefit concert includes some of the most beautiful Ukrainian choral and instrumental compositions as well as pieces from a wider classical repertoire including the Australian premiere of the exquisite, ‘Prayer for Ukraine – Lord, protect our Ukraine’ by Valentin Silvestrov. Also on the program is the classic composition, ‘Bozhe Velyky (Our Almighty Lord)’ by the father of Ukrainian music, Mykola Lysenko.
More artists coming onboard all the time for charity
Confirmed artists include Emma Matthews (soprano), Paul O’Neill (tenor), Sara Macliver (soprano), Marilyn Phillips (piano), Stewart Smith (organ), Paul Wright (violin), Fremantle Chamber Orchestra with Michael Howell (flute) and Crystal Lee (harp), Ruth Burke (mezzo soprano), James Pinneri (baritone), Devon Lake (baritone), Lydia Lai (piano), and the Giovanni Consort.
For only $65 per ticket, patrons are able to be up close and personal with Perth’s top talent in the spectacular setting of St George’s Cathedral all the time supporting the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
Interval drinks for sale are generously sponsored by a premium Margaret River winery soon to be announced.
This concert is the brainchild of Australian-Ukrainian, Diana Teplyj and is the largest and most ambitious of the four concerts she has organised to help the people of Ukraine.
