International Pinot Noir Tasting

Now in it’s third iteration, this extraordinary event showcases 18 wines from 5 countries in a blind tasting run by a panel of Pinot Noir experts.
Following this epic tasting is a long and vibrant lunch in POST Osteria with plenty of Pinot wines to enjoy.

Julian Grounds – Technical Director of Stonier Winery
Growing up in the deep south of Western Australia, Albany, Julian had a natural introduction to the world of viticulture and agriculture by way of his multi-generation farming family. After graduating Dux from his Oenology and Viticulture studies in Margaret River, and receiving the Leeuwin Award for future leadership, Julian was awarded a scholarship to make wine in Burgundy.
Philip Rich – Writer at Wine Companion
Philip has more than 30 years’ experience as a wine retailer, educator, show judge and writer. In 1996, Philip joined the van Haandels at The Prince of Wales and Stokehouse in Melbourne, where he was responsible for the wine buying, developing award-winning wine lists and sommelier training. Philip also co-founded Melbourne’s Prince Wine Store and Bellota Wine Bar and wrote the monthly wine column for The Australian Financial Review Magazine for 17 years.
Erin Larkin – Writer, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
From Fremantle, Western Australia, Erin Larkin reviews the wines of Australia and New Zealand for Robert Parker Wine Advocate, a role that takes her to the great vineyards of the world. Before that, she was a taster for the James Halliday Wine Companion. Larkin has contributed to the Oxford Companion to Wine and the 9th Edition of the Wine Atlas and is a Len Evans Tutorial scholar.
